Taygen turns 2!

It has just occurred to me that I no longer have a little baby. Instead I have this little man like overnight. Taygen turned 2 the end of January and we had a small celebration. I was all geared up to do something  a little extravagant but instead decided to do a small family celebration. Taygen was in a pretty horrible mood, of course right. We had a good time though.
I went and got a little bouquet of balloons they were a huge hit with Tay.

Mommy thought about making cupcakes but then my pregnancy hormones kicked in and the love I have for Freed's Bakery cakes took over any other idea.

Of course as with most kids after opening the first toy he was set and didn't care about any of the other ones.

The expression on his face describes the night not too excited about anything.

Breakfast food

He must get this from his mommy, I have never been a breakfast person I always eat un-conventional food for my morning meal apparently I passed this along. Taygen absolutely loves popcorn and his favorite time of day to indulge is for breakfast, some days he will almost eat the whole bowl.

Typical Boy

This morning I had to get a few e-mails out before Taygen and I headed off to a playgroup so I got him some breakfast so he could eat while I typed. I had the motherly foresight to put on a bib which I almost never do but since I was letting him wheeled the spoon without intense supervision I put it on. Good thing I did because I finished my e-mail and look around the corner to see me little man abandoned the useless spoon and went for the easier method, just drink the yogurt right out of the cup! It's innovative I will give him that.

Wagon Fun

This is one of Taygen's new loves. He got a wagon for christmas and knowing daddy would take a lot of asking to put it together mommy went ahead and dragged it into the house to attempt it. It was not a hard project except Taygen was so territorial about the thing the moment it came out of the box it was all I could do to put it together with him climbing in and out and pulling it around with just 2 wheels on. We have christened it with a few rides already, though I don't think contraction happy mommy will be able to pull it much longer so it will have to be a family activity with big strong daddy pulling it along.
